Alma Domus is one of the most interesting vaulted houses in Amalfi. It is located 900 meters from the center of Amalfi and 500 meters from Duoglio beach. It has two entrances. It retains many period elements, characterized by refined simplicity and traditional construction techniques: lunette, barrel and ogival vaulted ceilings; restored original wooden architraves and doors; irregular stone and plaster walls made exclusively with traditional mortars, the result of the millenary experience of masonry art, composed with local lime, pumice and red earth; the old lime and pumice covering of the vaults; the blue/green plaster of some rooms, partly original, the result of overlapping over the centuries, which in the western entrance allows us to imagine the sea in the only room where it is not possible to admire it.
