Location:

Caucana is a seaside village of Santa Croce Camerina and rises between Marina di Ragusa and Punta Secca. The locality, in the past, was an important port, built under the Byzantine domination. Today, the beach is a very sought-after tourist destination, especially by those who prefer silent and uncontaminated places for their holidays.

Caucana has very ancient origins! Its archaeological park still preserves the remains of Greek domination. The center was then destroyed by the arrival of the Romans and, later, by the Arab people, who ruled a large part of the island in the 4th century AD.
