Ostuni Art

Ostuni Art  is a luxury retreat located in the very heart of Apulia, close to the white city of Ostuni. The ensemble is nestled within private land more than 6 hectares of olive groves and it is composed of three stone buildings: the Trulli, the Lamia, and the Trullo Saraceno. A large swimming pool, 16×5 (max 7,5), high quality furniture and the ultimate privacy make this place perfect for relaxing and enjoy exclusive holiday. The three buildings that comprise this hidden retreat were built at the end of 1700 and at the beginning of 1800. Ostuni Art  is a project of passion born from the architect Giorgio Angella and his brother Giulio, who dreamt of breathing life into the abandoned ruins. Using local craftsmen and traditional methods, they painstakingly restored the stone structures to their original beauty. As the 3 buildings are separated from the main house, the concept was to linked them together through the common areas: the lovely fully equipped kitchen and contemporary living room, the swimming pool with a huge sunbathing area, and the nearby areas with BBQ and wood-burning pizza oven. Inside the guests can breathe a magical air, the rooms in the Trulli or in the vaulted environments of stone transfer them into a timeless enchanted environment, every piece of furniture is made in Italy, sometimes exclusively for the resort other times they are recovered by expert restorers. The bathrooms are finished in the natural hues, the blue of the sky, the green of the olive tree leaves, the colors of the earth and stones.

Up to 16 people can be hosted in the 6 double rooms with king size beds and one quadruple, every room has its own private bathroom. 4 people more can be welcomed in the large bedroom in the living area of the Trullo Saraceno and in the holiday cabin which has a wonderful view over the swimming pool.

The Trulli: Trulli are traditional structures made of carved stone, with pointed-dome roofs and meter-thick walls to protect against the heat and sun. Their open, round floor plan allows for a truly unique experience. Inside these walls, once covered with straw, one feels as if in another time, sheltered and protected.

This building was established around an ancient structure (1800) with a vaulted ceiling which now houses the kitchen; 4 trulli have been added to this environment, rebuilt on the previous ruins, where there are two large double bedrooms and two bathrooms, the newly built large living room overlooking the pool, covered with a wooden atticand equipped with a fireplace, which is useful for cool evenings or off season. This construction consists of 4 Trulli, other environments have stone vaulted ceilings including the entrance and the kitchen while the large living room has a ceiling with wooden girders

The Lamia: The carefully renovated lamia, or former farm building, and the five trulli form the architectural backbone of the resort. In these structures, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms welcome up to 10 guests. Each is individually designed, equipped with the most modern of comforts and decorated with high-end furniture and luxurious textiles. Each suite has its own restrained color palette, a balm not only for the eye but also the soul.

This small manor farm, is an ancient building characterized by stone vaults, the entrance environment (from which derives the name of the building) is covered by a barrel vault and leads into the 4 bedrooms, each one equipped with a bathroom, and covered by typical star vaults you can find in Puglia. It is equipped with a beautiful yard which  is large and spacious.

The Saraceno: The Trullo Saraceno is discreetly tucked away and boasts its own veranda. This trullo is wider and more massive in structure than most, and has a terraced dome-roof from which one can contemplate the landscape undisturbed: olive groves and flowering grasslands immediately transform into a lush, well-tended lawn – a wonderful spot to relax, play and sunbathe.

Ancient Trullo Saraceno , also called Tower of Ostuni for its frequent presence in the territory, is constituted in a large Trullo of the XVI century, exceptional for its size, and a second more recent construction obtained by rebuilding what has collapsed. This building is also equipped with a small kitchen and a nice outdoor yard and can eventually be used autonomously.

The brothers have always loved contemporary art so they decided to bring to the Ostuni Art Resort part of their collection of the best contemporary Italian and foreign emerging artists. A variety of services can be provided on request, including a local chef who cooks traditional Apulian meals for guests, live music and traditional dancing, or a cheesemaker making mozzarella, all directly at the resort. All of this transports the guests closer still to the genuine lifestyle of Southern Italy. In addition to a good-sized swimming pool, guests can keep in shape using the small, well-equipped gym inside the pool house: there’s a treadmill, exercise bike, weights and floor mats. The ping-pong table outside guarantees fun as well. Anyone who loves the great outdoors will love taking a guided hike or going biking; and then of course there’s always sailing or diving, with the sea being so nearby. To the delight of adults and kids alike, the two football-loving brothers have also thought to provide a foosball table. The freedom of their guests is of the utmost importance to the Angella brothers. For this reason, all offers are individually bookable and custom made. Additionally, the Resort has a central position in relation to the Valle d’Itria villages and it is easily accessible from the airports of Brindisi and Bari. Villa Ulisse

Villa Ulisse is a 200 sqm house with 400 sqm. of external surface divided between terraces and garden and surrounded by olive and lemon groves.

Located on the famous Amalfi Coast, Road (SS 163), it is at 1.7 km from the center of Positano and in addition boasts fantastic views of the sea and the “Li Galli” Island. It is possible to enjoy these views from every room in the house and also while having lunch or dinner on the beautiful terrace.

This property is also close to the famous “Path of the Gods”. The Path of the Gods is also famous thanks to its sky-line among the most evocative and famous in the world.

It crosses the Amalfi coast, rich in Mediterranean scrub, the Lattari Mountains that plunge into the blue sea of ​​the coast from which you can see the Island of Capri. Its name derives from historical facts and legends according to which the Greek gods passed through here to save Ulysses from the sirens that were on the Island of Li Galli.

The Villa is spread over two floors.

It hosts four bedrooms (1 master suite and 3 queen bedrooms), three bathrooms with shower, plus a service bathroom, a large living room and a kitchen.

Villa Ulisse has air conditioning, heating and wi-fi throughout the rooms.

The main entrance is on the ground floor, where you enter the spacious and elegant living area (70 sqm).

In this living room you and your loved ones can sink into the two comfortable sofas, where you will enjoy the warmth of the beautiful fireplace (obviously not necessary in the summer).

Also flat screen TV with hundreds of international channels.

Kitchen:

The large kitchen (18 sqm) is well equipped and it is also accessible from the patio.

It is fully equipped with refrigerator / freezer, six-burner gas stove, dishwasher, wine refrigerator, American coffee maker, espresso coffee maker, mocha, toaster, blender, ice maker, microwave oven and even an electric kettle.

The kitchen also opens onto the dining area, furnished with a spectacular large round wooden table.

Here you will find classic and modern paintings and antiques.

Villa Castiglio

Villa Castiglio is situated in the heart of Chianti. It is a small village by the incomparable beauty of the hilly countryside, but is also near the characteristic town of Radda. From the Villa it is easy to reach the art cities of Florence and Siena , as well as medieval villages, castles, churches, “badies” and monasteries, all of which make for a fantastic itinerary in an area dominated by vineyards and wineries, olive groves and woods. All this makes Chianti absolutely unique.
The main attraction of the villa is it‟s medieval tower. The inside of the tower has been reconstructed and set up as a wine bar where the guests can relax with a drink whilst enjoying the magnificent countryside.
The villa has a splendid heated pool with a gazebo from which you can enjoy the view and relax.
The owners of the villa produce very good wine and offer the possibility of wine-tasting and visits to the winery. In the garden of the villa there is also a playground for children and a shady patio perfect for breakfast and meals in the open air. Amongst the other services offered by the villa is a well- equipped gym and a wellness area with hydromassage and sauna where you can relax and spoil yourself.
Your stay in the villa can be made even more interesting with cooking lessons which are organized by the staff in the professional kitchen.
