Villa Cascia

The Val d’Orcia, (included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO in 2004) and the Val di Chiana, perfectly express the union between the wonderful, natural characteristics and the impact of the people living in the area for centuries.

The rolling hills, covered in the rich vegetation of vineyards, olive groves, cypress trees, beech woods and chestnut trees, interrupted here and there by the antique habitats of medieval origin. Villa Cascia comes into being as a country farm in the 1700’s. The short distance from the thermal baths of Borgo of San Casciano dei Bagni renders a vacation in this area an unforgettable experience, a place in which to find the peace of the past. Recently restored, with the use of natural materials from the area, the villa is able to offer hospitality, care, comfort and space for families or group of friends up to 14 guests. In the Summer, thanks to the pool – 15mts by 8mts and five steps, the garden which offers various areas for relaxing, and the wood in which the villa is situated, guests can always find cool areas in which to pass the time and in the Winter, the warmth of the house and the many fireplaces, give it a magic atmosphere.

The building is surrounded by 360degrees of gardens, shady areas, oak and olive trees, fruit trees and areas of uncontaminated Nature. At night, lights and candles transform the pool area into a magic place for dining, having an aperitif or just looking at the stars. A few metres from the villa there is a small restaurant for the exclusive use on request, of the guests. The chef, Francesco, prepares lunches and dinners guiding the guests in tasting the local products and specialities, with genuine Tuscan recipies. Special attention for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and allergy menus. Francesco also organizes cooking lessons and pizza parties.

Fenced infinity pool equipped with shower beds and pergola.

A large sandbox for children or a beach for adults is inserted in the pool area. Dining table under a wisteria pergola next to the kitchen. Covered gazebo with large sofa area facing the pool. Covered terrace on the first floor of the villa. Cottage a short distance from the villa equipped with a wood-burning oven for pizza parties. Amazing villa with a wonderful lush garden surrounding the house and the pool. The interior of the house is spacious and very beautifully decorated in Tuscan style providing a warm and comfortable ambiance. The service has been outstanding start to finish, never experienced anything like it in a villa rental. Patrizia, the owner, has been a fantastic host, very kind, always available and very helpful for any kind of question or need, plus providing excellent tips to discover the area. Additionally we also enjoyed the fabulous cuisine from chef Francesco for a few days which was a memorable culinary experience! I would definitely come back with the entire family (we were 14 people) and stay again in Villa Cascia.
