The rural holiday accommodation Cottage da Giovanni is located on the hills overlooking the medieval town of Pescia and enjoys a magnificent view over the valley and the surrounding hills. Cottage da Giovanni has an exceptional location, nestled between the olives and the foothills of the so-called “Pescia Switzerland”. These mountains were named by Jean-Charles-Léonard de Sismondi Simonde, an intellectual from Geneva, who recognized a certain similarity to his home here. The relaxation area, which you can see some pictures, is available to customers who want to enjoy the Tuscan sun by the pool, sipping a drink or just relax watching the beautiful views of the countryside offering farmhouse.
Cottage da Giovanni has been rebuilt into 4 separate apartments in the last 10 years with attention to detail. The property encloses a central terrace in the south on two sides. Another terrace is located in the east, a sunbathing area along the driveway to the house below the pool. The apartments are for 2 – 6 people and are fully furnished in Tuscan style. The kitchens are equipped with gas cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher. In all the apartments TV (foreign channels are installed) and WiFi are available.

We had a beautiful one week stay at Giovanni’s. A ten minutes drive from Peschia into the hills, near the end of the meandering street a classic tuscanyan house invites you to relax.
All four apartments are equipped to meet your basic needs, each having it’s own fireplace adding to it’s rustic charm.
Although we were a bit before season Giovanni filled the pool for us and organized a brand new table tennis set up.
Giovanni was always around the corner happily sharing his personal highlights – be it wine, hiking trails or restaurants. It’s good to know that Giovanni (and his workers) have their office in the property so you’re not for your one and there is always somebody around…
The beautiful view over the valley as well as the scarce availability of mobile reception and WiFi will most certainly drive even the uttermost digital addicted into the wild.
Within an hour and a bit of a drive you can explore all of Tuscany’s beautiful sights, historical Firenze, amazing center of Lucca, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and even the ocean. All of that being as easy to travel to by train starting a the station in Peschia.
We happily recommend this place to anyone to fall in love with authentic Tuscany’s charm.
