Description:Medioevo&Design lies on top of a hill and offers a unique observation point on the unspoiled Umbrian landscape. The castle is part of a group of strongholds around Todi and includes an original body, a squared tower built in the late 12th century and then expanded in the 14th century. The inside which still has the 14th century original light sources and the characteristics of a charming 19th century accommodation has been recently restored in order to offer a simple yet refined hospitality. Guests will find high quality comfort and enjoy the special experience of living their holidays in a medieval tower. The five floors which culminate in a breath-taking panoramic terrace of 24 meters in height have been converted to suites and apartments.
Each room, although keeping its original architectural features, terracotta and white travertine marble floorings, beamed ceilings, sandstone fireplaces, has a unique furnishing that skillfully combines family furniture with design pieces.
The tower offers 6 bedrooms (which can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests) but can also be rented as a whole. Each guest can enjoy large halls while relaxing in total privacy in intimate spaces. The tower is surrounded by a secular park, where the owners have reinstated the structure of the 19th century garden enriched by a wide and precious antique roses collection.

The Red suite comfortably accommodates two people.
Its large living room with pieces of art and design is a nice place to chat, time goes by and sip herbal teas or drinks. The master bedroom in shades of red is particularly striking is the important 1800 bed embellished with a beautiful rose window depicting a young woman with flowers for both the original ceiling decorations.
The White suite can accommodate two or three people.
Its characterized by the candor of the furnishings and decorations, and a master bedroom with king-size original bed 1800. The cozy living room for reading, if necessary can become a delightful bedroom. The large and bright bathroom offers a large shower and a whirlpool bath tub.
The third and fourth floor of the tower are occupied by two apartments flooded with light.
Each floor of 120sqm. It offers unforgettable hospitality to four guests. Two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and kitchen allow you to stay even for long periods. The large windows provide a view of a stunning landscape dominated by green fields and woods.
The Gold apartment of 120 square meters. It can accommodate very comfortably 4 people. Its large living room with fireplace is furnished with interesting pieces of classic design as the famous Wassily chairs. The large central table easily accommodates 12 people for dinners. The fully equipped kitchen is equipped with a large work desk that allows you to cook and also have the suitable space to organize interesting cooking classes. The two double bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms (one with shower and one with bath and shower / sauna) complete the offer of this charming apartment.
This scenic Blue apartment on the fourth floor of the tower always surprises for the brightness and stunning panoramic views. Very comfortable for 4 persons consists of two double bedrooms (one with French bed) and a colorful fully equipped kitchen. The large living room is made of great effect by the combination of the double white sofa with black sofa by Le Corbusier. This elegant living room allows 12 guests to enjoy a relaxing beautiful stone fireplace. The two bathrooms are very original for both of Starksia furniture for coatings in mosaic stone of Orvieto. The first smallest has a comfortable shower, the second very large, it boasts double vanities, jacuzzi tub and shower for two Tatami.
Plunged in the green is also the 18th century recently restored small chapel, particularly inviting for any religious celebration. It is also possible to relax in the design pool and enjoy the sight of the near old olive grove framed in breathtaking sunsets.
The current owners personally take care of the management and organization of the tower. All the convivial moments from breakfast served in the ground floor hall to lunch and dinner served in the terrace or in the park are carefully thought up to let the guests experience the best wine and food traditions and local products. Particular attention is paid to the furnishing and the design which contribute to make the guests stay unique and unforgettable.
Torre is a superb starting point for your tour of Umbria. Few minutes (10km) to reach by car the medieval town of Todi with its monuments and a summer music&theatre festival, numerous celebrations during civil and religious festivities or for the Saints of the city (Christmas, Easter, Pentecost). Close to Todi there is a well-known city famous all around the world, where they create and work important pieces of ceramic, which is Deruta.
This green region can also offer other stunning locations to explore all around: Perugia with its historical buildings, the International Journalism Festival (spring season), the fascinating Jazz music festival (summer season), the Eurochocolate is festival (fall season).
Assisi with famous Basilicas of Saint Francis and Saint Claire. Spoleto with its Festival Dei Due Mondi; Bevagna and its Roman remains; Montefalco and its famous wine: the Sagrantino. Foligno with its Medieval festival of Quintana and Spello with its hamlet and the magical floral display on the ground during the Pentecost. Gubbio with its historical and famous race on the day of Saint Ubaldo (protector of the city), every year on May 15th. Orvieto with the Duomo, an underground tunnelling system, the antique papal residence, the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, the Albornoz fortress, the Pozzo di San Patrizio (St. Patrick's Well). Terni with Cascate delle Marmore a beautiful green area with waterfall. The cities listed above and many more are all about 30-40 km from the Tower. The area also offers a great variety of local and delicious wine and food. Umbrian olive oil is famed and well-known; the wine produced in these lands is gaining increasing appreciation all over the world. The local black truffle and the most fine white one are the major ingredient of delicious and typical dishes. A wine tasting tour can't be complete without a tour to Tenuta Castelbuono (Bevagna), a famous winery whose cellar has been designed by Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro, his "first sculpture in which one can live and work".
